Kevin Oliver
My name is Kevin Oliver, I studied at the university of Stellenbosch and obtained my BSc in Sport Science in 2005, and an Honours degree in Biokinetics in 2006. After completing my honours degree, I completed my internship at the Sport Science Institute of South Africa (SISSA).
I have gained a vast amount of experience in a variety of spheres within the scope of Biokinetics, including orthopaedic and cardiac rehabilitation, special population groups as well as high performance sport. I have also had the privilege of being a team biokineticist for a few rugby clubs, in and around Cape Town.
I practice within our Sea Point and Paarl practices. Where I manage a variety of patients, working with sports injuries, orthopaedic and cardiac rehabilitation, special population groups and high-performance athletes. I am privileged to have been a contributing editor in biokinetics for eCPD Healthcare. eCPD offers approved online courses for professionals across industries and specialisations.
I am also Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Y-balance certified and am currently completing my certification as an Applied Movement Neurology practitioner.
Tyra-lee van Niekerk
My name is Tyra-lee van Niekerk born, bred and educated in Port Elizabeth. I hold a master’s degree in human Movement Sciences with focus on the perceptual aspects pertaining to human movement in terms of motor control and learning. Currently in the process of pursuing my PhD in gait analysis.
I absolutely adore working in the sphere of Neurological rehabilitation, Congenital and Chronic disease management as well as Geriatric wellness. As much as I enjoy working with the “oldies”, I also revel in the challenge of working with children and young adults, especially those with special needs. My special interests include gait patterning and optimization.
I have five years of private practice experience, and I am based at our practice located in Sea Point.
I am blessed to have the BEST job in the world, and I believe in using movement as medicine. I have witnessed the transformative power of exercise and believe it should be tailored to my patients’ unique needs and goals. I am so privileged to be on the journey of recovery, rehabilitation and self-actualization with each one of my patients.


Josh Gilson
My name is Josh Gilson raised in Fishhoek and educated at the University of the Western Cape. I hold a BSc Honours degree in Biokinetics, and I completed my internship at a private practice in Klerksdorp. I have four years of private practice experience and am based at our Sea Point practice.
As an avid runner and life-long sportsman, I truly understand the hard work and dedication that goes into improving performance and how frustrating injuries can be. That’s why it is my mission to ensure the best outcomes for all my patients.
I most enjoy orthopaedic rehabilitation as well as working with young children and budding athletes.
