Willem obtained his BSc in Sport Science and Honours degree in Biokinetics at the University of Stellenbosch. He completed his internship at the Sport Science Institute of South Africa (SISSA). He joined Kevin Oliver Biokineticists in 2015. He has a passion for endurance sports including mountain biking, ultra running and long distance triathlon. He particularly enjoys rehabilitating knees and specific strength training for endurance sport.
Katherine obtained both her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Stellenbosch, qualifying in 2011. She then went on to complete her internship at the Sports Science Institute of South Africa, followed by employment as a registered biokineticist at SSISA thereafter, as well as biokineticist for a Super League A rugby team.
In 2014 she moved to Nelspruit for 2 years, where the shift to private practice took place. The practice encompassed a broad range of the scope of biokinetics. She was mainly involved in orthopaedic rehabilitation of mentally and physically disabled clients, sport specific rehabilitation and conditioning of multi-sport junior athletes and rehabilitation and return to play protocols of provincial rugby players.
Katherine joined Kevin Oliver Biokineticists at O.N.S Health Studio in 2016. She is a certified Pilates instructor with a background in classical ballet as well as a strength and conditioning coach for a local 3rd division soccer team having played university level soccer. She has a keen interest in orthopaedic rehabilitation of all levels of activity and sport.
Kevin studied at the University of Stellenbosch and obtained his BSc in Sport Science in 2005, and an Honours degree in Biokinetics in 2006. After his honours degree he completed his internship at the Sport Science Institute of South Africa (SISSA). He has gained knowledge and expierence in all the different fields of Biokinetics, incl orthopaedic and cardiac rehabilitation, special population groups as well as high performance sport. He has also been the team biokineticist for a few rugby clubs.
Currently Kevin is in private practice in Sea Point. Here he manages a variety of patients, working with sports injuries, orthopeadic and cardiac rehabilitation, special population groups and high performance athletes. Kevin is also a contributing editor in biokinetics for eCPD Healthcare. eCPD offers approved online courses for professionals across industries and specialisations.
Kevin is Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Y-balance certified and currently busy getting certified as Applied Movement Neurology practitioner.
Jané Maritz is a highly motivated, goal orientated, and results driven accredited Biokineticist. She prides herself on maintaining a high standard of quality care with a unique patient focus approach. She strives to establish individualised rehabilitation programs to achieve desired goals and health management solutions.
Jané originally comes from Plettenbergbay and obtained her Sport Science and Honours degree at the University of Stellenbosch. Thereafter she completed her internship at The Sport Science Institute of South Africa (SSISA). It was at SSISA that she developed her passion for treating and assisting patients with orthopaedic injuries. Jané joined Kevin Oliver Biokinetics at O.N.S Health Studio in 2018.
She is a certified Pilates, Step & Tone and Aerobic instructor. In her free time she will be found outdoors as adventure sports make up a big part of her approach to a healthy lifestyle. Her background as a ballet dancer has contributed to Jané embracing her creative side where she brings something new and inspiring to each patient that she treats.
